Cities in modern Kyoto are experiencing the development of urban commercial functions due to soaring land prices and rushes in hotel construction due to excessive touristization due to inbound expansion. Along the busy road, the interiors and Ura of architecture are dead as spaces due to the dense construction of arcades and middle-class architecture that block the upper line of sight. In addition, urbanization and retailers who once existed have been forced to flow out of Kyoto due to weakening of commerce, leading to a decline in population. People's lives and cities may be able to coexist. This plan is a new kyoto city model that reconstructs the death space of Hue and Ura while maintaining the symbolism of the city, and aims at the coexistence of life and the city.
