ファッションは、都市のイメージを形成するものである。時代や社会との相関関係や社会におけるステータスをあらわす情報源である。近年、ファッション産業はファストファッションの台頭により、大量生産・大量消費・大量廃棄という一方通行のサイクルに陥り、環境負荷が著しく増大している。対象敷地として選定した、 兵庫県神戸のまちは、日本最古の近代洋服の店を開いたことにより、神戸近代洋服隆盛の基盤が築かれた。かつて新しい文化をつくった神戸では、大量生産・大量消費・大量廃棄という一方通行のサイクルを止め、循環するファッションの新たな文化を創造する場としてふさわしいのではないだろうか。三宮の顔である神戸マルイと周辺ビルを敷地とし、まちに開かれたファッションのリサイクルセンターをつくることで、環境とファッションの新たな文化や神戸の魅力を創造する拠点とする。本計画を示すことにより、ファッション業界全体の課題に立ち向かい、持続可能なファッションの未来へと導くきっかけとなる。
Fashion shapes the image of a city. It is a source of information that expresses the correlation with the times and society and the status in society. In recent years, due to the rise of fast fashion, the fashion industry has fallen into a one-way cycle of mass production, mass consumption, and mass disposal, resulting in a significant increase in environmental burden. The town of Kobe in Hyogo Prefecture, which was selected as the target site, was the site of Japan's oldest modern clothing store, which laid the foundation for the flourishing of modern clothing in Kobe. Kobe, which once created a new culture, would be the perfect place to stop the one-way cycle of mass production, mass consumption, and mass disposal, and create a new culture of circular fashion. The site will be Kobe Marui, the face of Sannomiya, and surrounding buildings, and by creating a fashion recycling center open to the town, it will become a base for creating a new culture of environment and fashion and the charm of Kobe. By presenting this plan, we will be able to tackle the challenges facing the fashion industry as a whole and lead the way to a sustainable fashion future.
