The identity of Beppu City, Oita Prefecture is a nostalgic feeling of a hot spring resort that revolves around hot springs, scenery, and culture. In this proposal, the sand bath by the sea, which has disappeared, will be revived, and the traffic in the city will be reconstructed by directing the spatial experience of the city that still remains. This is a proposal for a "monument with a popular character" for Beppu that shows the revival of the sand bath by a design method that constructs the form of the hot water turret that existed in the past with the elements of the present town toward the seaside, where the atmosphere of Beppu is disappearing due to the widening and reclamation of the national highway
