奥能登はまさに異郷の地である。
本土から遠く離れたこの地では、古くから蓄積された文化がさほど形を変えることなく今日まで受け継がれてきた。変化が目覚ましい日本において、長い歴史が根強く受け継がれる地は希
少である。今後も確かな資源が残され正しい形で活用されていく限り、その価値が廃れることはないだろう。
本計画では、能登半島地震の復興において、地域資源への再認識と伝承の必要性を提示する。震災や公費解体によって失われた形を単に復元するのではなく、失われることのない生活景を活かして新たなまちなみをつくることこそが、「懐かしい未来」につながっていく道筋であるのではないか。
