水郷に還る Return to the water village

作品コンセプト

かつて伊庭は、信仰・生活・生業が水を介して結びつく「ヤマ・ムラ・ウミ」の三層構造によって成立していた。しかし近代化はこの連続性を分断し、オモテであった水辺を生活の「ウラ」へと変質させた。本計画は、この分断された構造を建築的に再編し、失われつつある伊庭集落固有の水との関わりを想起させ、水郷としての固有の風景を取り戻す。

Historically, Iba was defined by a three-layered structure of "Yama" (Mountain), "Mura" (Village), and "Umi" (Lake), where faith, daily life, and livelihood were intricately connected by water. However, modernization fragmented this continuity, transforming the waterfront—once the "Omote" (front) of the community—into the "Ura" (back) of daily life.This project seeks to architecturally reorganize this fragmented structure. By evoking the fading unique relationship with water specific to the Iba settlement, it aims to reclaim its inherent landscape as a true "Suigo"
