「聴唖者」と呼ばれる人たちがいる。彼らは耳は聞こえ知力にも異常が見られないが、何らかの障碍で口をきくことができにくい人たちである。会話行為を苦手とし、吃音症もその一部であり私も過去、経験したことがある。しかし、彼らには根本的に
「話したい」という願望があった。彼らにとって、人や社会との関わりしろを持つことができるような建築を提案したい。
There are people referred to as “chōasha.” They can hear and show no abnormalities in intelligence, but due to certain impairments they have difficulty speaking. They struggle with verbal communication, and stuttering is one part of this spectrum; I myself experienced it in the past. However, at a fundamental level, they have a desire to speak. I would like to propose architecture that enables them to have points of connection with other people and with society.
