町ウツシー醤油蔵遺構と町並み景観の再編― Town Depression -Reorganization of soy sauce collection remains and cityscape scenery-

和歌山県湯浅町。醤油の発祥地として知られ、その町並みは今でも継承せれている。かつては醤油の発祥から92店舗まで醤油の店が展開され、それを買いに来る人々と商人の行き交う町として栄えた。そこから時代とともに多くの醤油業は衰退し、多くの店は土地を小分けにし、住宅へと転換され、路地が多い住宅密集地となった。その残る町並みは醤油の香りが漂う醸造の町並みとして「町並み継承」されている。しかし、歴史保存の背景に町の老朽化が進行する町である。本計画では醤油蔵が残る景観地区の歴史的価値を再認識し、新たな価値を生む景観継承の提案とできる空間では醤油蔵遺構を町の銭湯とし、それに関わりながら景観の組みかえによりできた新たな空間に高齢者の健康保全となる場を提案する。

Yuasa Town, Wakayama Prefecture. It is known as the birthplace of soy sauce, and its townscape is still inherited. In the past, soy sauce shops were developed from the origin of soy sauce to 92 stores, and it prospered as a town where merchants came and went with people who came to buy it. From there, many soy sauce industries declined with the times, and many shops were converted into houses, and it became a residential area with many alleys. The remaining townscape is "inherited" as a brewing townscape with the smell of soy sauce. However, it is a town where the aging of the town progresses against the background of the history preservation. In this project, we will re-recognize the historical value of the landscape area where the soy sauce brewery remains, and propose a place to preserve the health of the elderly in a new space made by reassying the scenery while being involved in the soy sauce collection remaining in a space that can be used as a public bathhouse for the town.
